Let’s Get Froggy: An angler’s guide for taking Kermit for a fall stroll around heavy vegetation
It’s fall in Texas. Time for all you gutsy bass busters out there to put Kermit on a leash and get ready to rumble. Kids may recognize Kermit as the mouthy Muppet character with a colorful personality. Bass anglers are different. When they think of Kermit, most picture a soft plastic lure with a squishy body known for getting into serious trouble in the shallows.

State sends resources to Florida Texas has deployed state resources to Florida to assist in response and recovery efforts in the aftermath of the devastation caused last week by Hurricane Ian, one of the most powerful storms to hit the United States in the past decade. “Texans understand the urgency of hurricane disaster response and recovery efforts, and our state is swiftly sending more support and resources to Florida as they continue responding to Hurricane Ian,” Gov. Letter to the Editor
To the Editor: Another year, another administration, but apparently the same old same old. We have a new City Administrator, but it may be that we still have the previous one on board! Do you as citizens of New Boston know that another tax increase has been proposed? Probably not since it was at a meeting helf on a Monday at 10:30 am, the newspaper was not in attendance and the meeting to propose said tax increase lasted with the invocation and pledge of allegiance exactly 3 minutes! I know because I was there and not much discussion was had. Why do we need another tax increase? Have we at any point looked at a tightening of our belt to include the fuel we pay for city employees to drive the city vehicles to and from Dalby Springs, to and from Hooks, to and from Simms and every place in between to include grocery stores and church ? How about looking at our staffing in the city? Not to mention services we pay for that we are not getting our money’s worth, i.e., mowing contract for Tapp Park.

Navigating the Alzheimer’s experience involves a long journey, and there’s no easy answer for how you can cope with your emotions. Steps of Meaning Along the Trail
I’ll never forget seeing the homeless woman walking down the trail with a bag and a coat. I’ll never forget talking with her, getting to know her, and hearing about her struggles. I’ll never forget the journey of sitting with her, praying, and studying our Bibles together. I’ll never forget her reciting Romans 8 at Church under the Bridge and our eating chili dogs to celebrate her accomplishment. I’ll never forget how thrilled she was to seek the Lord by memorizing verses.
