Tina Marie Kruse, age 65, of Simms, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025. She was born on April 17, 1959 to Ondres Howard Kruse and Patsy Ruth Kemp Kruse. Tina lived a life marked by love, faith, and dedication to her family and community.

Tina was a respected and successful realtor, the proud owner of United Country Realty, where she spent years helping others find not just houses, but homes. She was of the Baptist faith.

She found joy in the simple things of life such as tending her garden and enjoying the outdoors, and sharing a conversation with everyone she met. But above all else, Tina cherished her family. She was a devoted mother, a beloved grandmother, and a steady presence in the lives of those she loved. Being a grandmother and great-grandmother was one of her greatest joys, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with her family.

Tina was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Carolyn Smith.

She leaves behind one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Shane May of Simms, Texas; four sisters, Sylvia Jones, Shelia Kruse, Patty Kruse and Rita Ferris; one brother, Howard Kruse; three grandchildren, Zachary Emfinger (Haleigh), Whitney Hawkins (Shaynne), and Lucas Emfinger (Jessica); six great-grandchildren, Baylen Emfinger, Bowen Emfinger, Ondres Emfinger, Tyler Hawkins, Tanner Hawkins, and River Hawkins; and numerous other family members and friends.

Tina leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her memory will be forever cherished.

A funeral service to honor Tina’s life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas, with Brother Shannon Crawford officiating. She will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Sand Hill Cemetery in Simms, Texas.
