Farmers Bank & Trust is excited to host a Toys For Tots community toy drive and cookout on Friday, Dec. 6, 2024. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the New Boston, Texas, branch, located at 416 N. McCoy Blvd.
The public is invited to attend the community lunch featuring fresh-grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and drinks. Attendees are encouraged to bring a new, sealed toy or gift item to benefit Bowie County Toys for Tots in exchange for a meal.
“This cookout is an opportunity for our community to come together for a great cause and make the holidays brighter for children in need,” said James Bramlett, FB&T Market President. “Kayla Simmons, Justin Godfrey, Destanie Waters, and the Farmers team are honored to support and partner with the Bowie County Toys for Tots program.”
Toys for Tots is a charitable organization founded in 1947 and headed by the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Its mission is to distribute toys to underprivileged children as gifts for Christmas. Toys For Tots collaborates with schools, churches, and businesses to set up donation bins and organize collection events.
