The Bowie County Master Gardeners are pleased to announce that their 2024 Intern Training Class will begin in February. A Master Gardener is a person interested in gardening and horticulture. They are enthusiastic, willing to learn and dedicated to helping others. They receive special training in horticulture in exchange for contributing time as volunteers in their county, working through their county’s Texas A&M AgriLife Extension office to provide horticulture-related information to their communities. Classes begin February 1 with 35 hours of virtual training and 15 hours of hands-on training. The cost is: $125 or $175 per couple sharing a Training Book. The training fee includes the course materials, a Master Gardener Name Badge, and first year of dues.
