Funeral services honoring the life of Dr. Powell Alexander Layton were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Trinity Heights Baptist Church, 3820 Old Mooringsport Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service was Nick Roark, associate pastor of University Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas. A visitation was held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial immediately followed the service at Sand Hill Cemetery in Simms, Texas.
