The threat of severe storms for this evening and tonight still exists, with the first tornado watch  issued just a few minutes ago for an area stretching from the Metroplex to Paris. The watches and warnings will continue throughout the night, as the squall line forms and travels eastward.

Even without tornadoes, there is a severe threat from straight line winds, with some predicted to reach hurricane force at 80 to 100 mph.
